About Me
My name is Joanne. I am a grandmother, a mom and a teacher. I have been teaching for 36 years, so you would think that I’d seen it all. I have worked with many children who have had ADHD. However, it wasn’t until my grandson was diagnosed with it that I saw another side of it: The side of parents and of the day-to-day struggles in the home life. This started my personal quest to find out more.
This website is intended to help me synthesize, and gather into one place, the information that I have compiled. I am trying to get as complete a picture of what this condition is all about as I can. My real aim is practical. By consulting books, magazines, studies and various websites, I am trying to get a handle on how best to deal with ADHD.
I am, therefore, ThinkingThroughADHD and, in so doing, hopefully assisting my grandson, family and others facing this condition. I invite you to think and to learn along with me!
